Daniel Ciechanowski
(1926 - 2012)
Daniel was a second-generation Funeral Director. He was a proud veteran serving during WWII in the Merchant Marine as a communications officer, where he retired as Chief Radio Man after 23 years of service in the US Naval Reserve. His passion was serving the Polish-American Community in Camden. Daniel resided in the Whitman Park section of Camden, where they held the grandstand for the Pulaski Day Parade. He was a member of the Polish American Heritage Society, St. Joseph's Holy Name Society, and a former honorary President of the Polish American Citizens Club of Camden County, where he was honored as Man of the Year. Daniel was a lifetime parishioner of St. Joseph's R.C. Church.

Stanley Ciechanowski
Founder, (1893 - 1972)
The founder of the Ciechanowski Funeral Home since 1921, directly across the street from St. Joseph's Polish Church, the heart of Camden's Polish-American community. Together with his wife, Priscilla, and children Walter, Jean, and Daniel, he lived above the funeral home. In 1947, he moved to Westmont. The Ciechanowski Funeral Home remained on 10th Street through 1996 under the direction of his son, Daniel Ciechanowski, and grandson John Ciechanowski.
