Effen, Marie Anne

On August 27, 2026 Marie (nee Murawski) of Kennesaw, GA, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, passed peacefully with her husband Gerald by her side, age 78.

Marie was the beloved wife of Gerald Effen for 41 years. Devoted mother of Michael Effen of Nashville, TN and the late Anne Hawthorne. Caring sister of Margaret Meyers of Cinnaminson and the late Leo Murawski. Proud grandmother of Katie Hawthorne.

Marie was a retired software engineer employed by Greenway Financial for 20 years.

Friends and relatives are invited to a memorial service, Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing, NJ.
