John Rushton (Rusty) Allen of Wendover, Nevada passed away Tuesday December 6, 2023 after a sudden illness. Age 64.

Born on August 11, 1959 in Newport News, Virginia was one of seven children. Son of the late Elaine Gordon and John (Jack) Allen, raised by stepfather Richard Gordon. Loving father of Kimberly Allen. Proud grandfather of Michael and Olivia. Caring brother of Elaine Hildenbrand, Scott and Thomas Allen and step-brother Scott Smith and the late Kathleen Jester and Betty Allen. Former spouse Estelita Bean and son-in-law of Michael (Mugsy) Rosenfeld.

Mr. Allen grew up in Brigantine NJ, attending St. Phillips grade school and Atlantic City high school. John worked in the casino industry for forty years. He moved to Nevada twenty years ago but never forgot his roots. John had a passion for music and playing the guitar. He was known for having a natural way of making everyone laugh. Mr. Allen will be sadly missed by many friends and relatives. A Life Celebration will be held at the convenience of the family.
