Peacefully on December 15, 2020, (nee Reklewski) of Egg Harbor Twp., formerly of Pennsauken. Age 95.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph Karpiak Sr.. Loving mother of Joseph (Deborah) Karpiak Jr.. Proud grandmother of Kimberly (William) Croke, Adrienne Kimball, Jennifer (Adam) Goettsch, Kate (Matthew) Clement, Nicholas (Teresa) Karpiak, and Allison (Erin) Wolf and great grandmother of Benjamin, Alexandra, Luke, Madison, and Cole. Predeceased by her parents John and Rose Reklewski and her daughter Arlene Hoon.

Mrs. Karpiak was employed by Bell Telephone Company retiring after 35 years of service. Irene dearly loved working in her garden and trips to AC Casinos. She was a passionate Phillies and Eagles fan. Mrs. Karpiak told many stories about growing up during the war, how close she was to her family, meeting her husband at a very young age, and our Polish roots. Irene taught us about Polish traditions and made sure that we all knew how to make pierogies.
