Peacefully on January 6, 2025 Anna (nee Matyszewska) of Audubon. Formerly of Woodlynne. Born in Poland. Age 99.
Beloved wife of the late Florian Mayer. Predeceased by daughter Donna Rehrig and grandson Jeffrey Shannon. Proud grandmother of Todd and Craig Shannon. Great grandmother of Arielle, Hunter, Blake, Slater, Brendan and Evan Shannon.
Mrs. Mayer was a caring individual who cherished her family. Anna enjoyed cooking and baking, always ensuring that everyone was nourished. She prepared food with warmth and love, creating lasting memories for all. Mrs. Mayer survived the German occupation of Poland during WWII. Anna later came to America with her husband Florian and daughter Donna to build a family and home rooted in the American dream. She was a retired seamstress employed by Schwartz Dress Making Co., Philadelphia, PA.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial Friday, January 10th 11:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, 300 E. Kings Highway, Haddon Heights, NJ 08035. Interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Blackwood. Memorial contributions in Anna's memory can be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital @ stjude.org. Arrangements by CIECHANOWSKI FUNERAL HOME of Oaklyn, NJ.
